Fingerprint-Based Background Checks in Quebec City
Our Quebec City office takes care of fingerprint-based background checks for the entire Capitale-Nationale region, from Sainte-Foy and Charlesbourg to Beauport, as well as Lévis and the south shore of the St. Lawrence. Accès Identité holds RCMP accreditation to capture fingerprints electronically and submit them straight to the national database for processing. The check is the standard requirement for immigration files, pardon applications, many foreign visas and federal government positions, and everything happens in a single short visit.

The fingerprinting service in brief
Unlike a name-based police certificate, a fingerprint check queries the RCMP repository directly and is the only method that reveals the full contents of a criminal record. That is why organizations such as Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada or the Parole Board of Canada often insist on it.
During your appointment, a certified technician captures your prints electronically in about twenty minutes and transmits them to the RCMP on the spot; you receive your Document Control Number (DCN) before leaving. Results arrive by Canada Post, usually within 5 to 25 business days when no record exists. Remember two valid pieces of government-issued ID, one of them with a photo, along with any letter or form from the requesting organization.
Full details on rates, use cases and processing are on our fingerprint-based background checks page.
