Remote Criminal Record Check by Fingerprinting in Quebec City
Our Quebec City office receives and processes every remote fingerprinting application handled by Accès Identité. Fingerprint sheets mailed from abroad or from another province arrive at our office on avenue des Replats, where our team submits them electronically to the RCMP to obtain your Canadian criminal record. If you live in Sainte-Foy, Lévis, Charlesbourg or Beauport and are helping a family member overseas with the process, you are dealing directly with the people handling the file, right in your own city.

Remote fingerprinting in brief
You first have your fingerprints taken near you, by a local police department or an authorized agency, on paper or by Live scan where the equipment is available. The form to hand to the officer can be downloaded from our website. You then mail us the sheet, flat in the envelope, since a crease may make the prints unreadable.
When your envelope arrives, we email you to confirm receipt and send the invoice, which you pay online. We then submit your file to the RCMP electronically, and the official result is mailed to a Canadian address, generally within one to four weeks. For the full process, see our remote criminal records by fingerprinting page.

Frequently asked questions in Quebec City
Where do I mail my fingerprints?
Directly to our office: Accès Identité, 4715 avenue des Replats, Suite 195, Québec, QC G2J 1B8, Canada. Use a rigid envelope with tracking, so the sheet arrives flat and you know when it reaches us.
Which documents go with the application?
Along with the fingerprint sheet, the online form asks for two pieces of identification, a photo of your face and shoulders, and the specific reason for the check, including the name of the organization requiring it. Double-check every detail before submitting, because an error or omission can delay processing.
Can the result be delivered to a relative in Quebec City?
Yes. Since the official document is only delivered to a Canadian address, you can enter the address of someone you trust in the form, such as a family member in Quebec City or Lévis.
